Benefield Law Firm, Inc. is an established, boutique, family law firm focused on real estate closings and estate planning. We are seeking a professional, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a receptionist/paralegal/legal assistant.
The ideal start date is February 1, 2026. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, manage the front desk, assist attorneys and paralegals with opening new files, and handle post-closing duties for real estate closings. This is a key administrative role requiring excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Front Desk / Reception
Greet clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Answer phone calls and emails thoroughly and direct phone calls and take messages as needed.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and couriers.
Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
Schedule client appointments and conference room bookings.
File Opening / Administrative Support
Create and organize new client files (both digital and physical).
Collect and verify client intake forms, identification, and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure all required documents are obtained for file opening and closings.
Post-Closing / Real Estate Support
Assemble and organize closing packages for clients and lenders.
Record documents with the county clerk or appropriate recording office (online).
Upload and distribute final closing documents to all relevant parties.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or paralegal certificate a plus.
Prior experience in a law firm, title company, or real estate office preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with case management or title software preferred (e.g., Qualia, Landtech).
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
